BTW. A great pictorial of rare South African plants (as i mentioned above) can be found in a flikr post by a Martin Heigan. You have NEVER seen halfman's like the those he photographed. Serious.

What kind of 1 gallon trees are available and for how much?

We have a Veltheima viridifolia, I think that is the species, I don't know if we have more species of this available. It will have a head of pink flowrs similar to some Aloe. Flowers are in a bunch that hang down from the apex. I will be up until 12:00 to night this is the last call for questions. I need to wake up at 8:00 to get in on time. Norma

First thing in the morning 10:00 cash register opens at 10:30, don't know if we are going to restock Sunday morning. We restocked at least 5 times today. It was very brisk all day long. I am so confused what we have left.
Still have some nice stock of San. hallii 'BaseBall Bat'
5 of them them a pot for $30 not bad when each has been sold for $10 each I know we have a few scatterd Crassula, some Gasteria and Haworthia, a few Aloe, all sizes, some gave all sizes, Blue Agave attunata, others, lots of bulbs, miniature trees from Madagascar, cactus, a few Schick hybrids.All sorts of various species, which I know nothing, many mesemb. Again about 100 flats on the tables. One Hoya in baskets, with tiny heart shaped leaves and spotted.

What kind of 1 gal. trees where you looking for. Trees normally come in 5 gal size or larger, some succulent trees start out in 4" pots, others like Aloe we may have baby's in 8" pots but seldom, they take too many years to get that size, we have no storage room, and they would be to expensive to send. It takes an orange gree 7 years to produce. Home nurseries carry all common trees, so there is no reason to bother. Were you planning to come to the sale, or where you just asking a general question? We didn't have any 1 gal trees available. We start them out in 4" pots, bump them up to 6" then sell them.
We only start 100 species a year for ISI, and what is left over is used for sales. They don't last long. We don't have the room to grow 100 plants of each species that we have for the season. Which we must do if offered. The rare ones grow more slowly as you know. Were you planning to come to the sale and from where? WE never grow 1 gal, succulent plants. Too large for shipping. ?

I was down there for two sales in June and July, and the ISI plants are fantastic--well grown and often are rare and unusual varieties that are reasonably priced. No complaints.
