No, I think your Meyer looks very typical of its growth habit. Just make sure all the scale has been removed, and see about slowly moving it to the outside, so it can get sunlight.

Unfortunately, Patty, I live in New York City and have no outdoor space :( I keep it near a South facing window with the window open and I have a grow light for when its not as sunny.
