I recieved The prize package today!!!

What a GIFT. Thank You so much everything is wonderful!

You really out did yourself.

Joyce sent me A beautiful card card, Ink pen, thumbtacks, maxine stickers, flower stickers, foot lotion (which I always can use LOL),

2 dress pins ( I just love the watering can), a pack of note cards, 2 small bags (did you make the one with the Brug on it?)

Car air freshener, and a note pad (which I have already started to use.

more like a christmas present than a prize.

Oh that darn photobucket, I couldn't enlarge the photo. I was hoping to be able to read some of the Maxine stickers, LOL! Great prize box Joyce, you made Dorothy very happy!

:) magdaloonie, I have some anacharis in the upper level. Also a clump of lucky bamboo in a mesh planter. (now inside overwintering slightly frostbit...oops) I usually have a couple small rosettes of water lettuce in there. When they get too big, I switch them out for smaller ones from my lotus pots. I have the water lettuce in the lotus pots just for the heck of it and cuz it grows well in the shade of the lotus leaves. Also, I'll put some frogbit and a couple pieces of snowflake in there to get the look of super mini water lilies. But because the Japanese Maple shades the pond so much, I have to rotate the bloomers once a week (from other sunny container ponds) to keep them blooming. I try to keep all the plants to 'scale' with the size of the pondsai. Haven't put the birdbath heater in it for a couple years now because I bought a floating pond decicer that I like better. And the birds like it better too cuz they can land on it and sip around the edges. Also uses less electric. I moved my little mini lily into a half barrel liner into our attached garage for the winter, although it had survived in the pondsai a few winters. If she uses the floating deicer, the Helvola should be fine, especially if placed directly under the deicer. OH...That is a tall 'cascade' type bonsai planter which the moss covered rock sits upon, glazed black, vase shaped: wider at the top, narrow, 3 footed base. I flip it over so the wide top sits on the bottom and the moss covered rock sits on the 3 'feet'. (no so tippy that way and the 3 feet act like a tripod.) I bring the betta inside by the end of September here in this zone. Bettas don't like it much colder than 60*. By the way, the moss island sits on the upside down pot and creates a little cave underneath that the betta likes to hide in. :)

FWIW, I just started using a new (not non-stick) carbon steel wok I got on eBay for something like $10 +shipping. Until now I'd been using a non-stick Farberware wok, but now I have a high-BTU gas cooktop and wanted to try "the real McCoy." However, I was really worried about the sticking problem, which was pretty awful before I'd gotten the non-stick wok. Anyway, I goofed up on the seasoning procedure by heating the oiled wok on high heat, and it darkened unevenly, and just looked pretty crummy compared to the pictures of well-seasoned woks I've seen. Nonetheless, I forged ahead and prepared a beef and veggie stir-fry on it, and much to my amazement, it was 95% stick-free! Haven't had a chance to try again, but have high hopes that it's actually possible without a non-stick pan! By the way, thanks to those posters who recommended the book Breath of a Wok, which is fun and helpful. Amusingly, when I asked about this book at my Barnes & Noble store, the lady couldn't find it in the database; turns out, she had typed in Breath of a Walk, which yielded no hits. ---Margaret

It looks like a great gift bag! I couldn't enlarge it either but Joyce had sent me pics of the bags she made. They are so pretty. It's something called felting, way beyond my capabilities. You should see the Afghan pics she made the same way.

Dorothy, So glad you received your gift bag! Sure enjoyed having you play the game!
Tj, The bag is made out of felt and I needle felted a brug onto it. Needle felting is done with a special barbed needle and roving from a sheep before it is spun into yarn. You stab roving with the needle and it felts it to the fabric. You can also do 3D sculptures. This is the first flower I have tried. It actually could be called fabric painting, but you are not using paint.
Sure had fun and hope to do this again!

Knowing you made the bag with the brug make it even more special.
I love it! The color on the brug yellow with the orange are NOT painted? I have never seen anything like it. I wish the picture could show your work better.
