Sorry, I will disagree with the others. For me, that guy has had his "last chance" too many chances back. He would NOT be allowed on the place. I don't care about his age, it is the fact that the man had total contempt for you and what you say. He is totally sure that he is better about dogs than you, and he can take your dog if it comes to conflict. Obviously the outcome could be up in the air, but his chances might not be high faced with your dog. He does NOT believe that the dog really means what it says, and WILL CONTINUE to push the limits to get the dog to come after him. Doesn't matter what YOU SAY, or your brother, SOME situation WILL HAPPEN to get him in conflict with the dog. The only question in my mind is going to be WHEN the attack takes place. If this moron man is not forbidden the property, or dog locked up with PADLOCKED gates, the dog is going to hurt the man. The man CAN NOT resist proving that he can "take" the dog if he is attacked. The whole situation is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Dog is now proven "aggressive with numerous incidents" that you will have to testify DID happen, in a court of law. Those will be pointed out as "Warning signs" that you ignored before dog DID attack him. Doesn't matter if you had warned him, told him not to enter. It will easily be proven you harbored a "dangerous" dog and did nothing to prevent the situation from happening. Even if the man doesn't sue you, his insurance carrier will to get costs back. Sorry, you will lose the dog and the case. Your home, farm or business insurance will jump accordingly. I would call your brother, say you have changed your mind. You don't want the man on the property again for any reason. You will be gambling that the man will follow directions, and he has ALREADY proven that he won't. His contempt for you (perhaps as a female) or authority figure, has been shown, along with threatening (Just in FUN!!!) the son, and plain ignoring where he is allowed or not, is now well known and displayed. Sorry about your brother and his help, but is the CERTAIN problems this man will bring, worth the trouble allowing him on the property?? Young or older man, this guy needs to find the results of his bad choices, no respect, in his paycheck. He has wasted the opportunity for more chances. The vegetarians/vegans like it as a main and it can serve as a side for the rest. It has a layer of rice, then a layer of vegetables including garbanzo beans and topped by another layer of rice mixed with nuts. Spread half of the rice in the prepared dish and top with the vegetable mixture. Combine the remaining rice with the nut mixture and spread over the vegetables. 7. For vegetarian chili, I don't use a recipe. If not using canned beans, I soak dried beans overnight (or do a quick soak by bringing the water to a boil with the beans, turning off heat and letting them sit for a few hours). I usually use a mix of pintos and kidney beans or black and pinto beans. I saute onions. Add some other diced vegetables - bell peppers, summer squash and carrots are good. Add to the beans and pour in a can of diced tomatoes with the juice (or you can use tomato sauce or tomato paste and water). Add chili powder to taste (for 3 16 oz cans of beans, I start with about a tablespoon). Making it for our family where the grandkids don't like it too spicy hot, I usually add some ground cumin and oregano to flavor it without getting more chili heat than they will accept. First: I'd want to dig into the assumptions, etc. on the heat load calculations to explain the different size systems. That seems like the obvious first step. Second: I would take this opportunity to consider fixing some of the "character" of the house. Can you put the difference in the cost of these two systems into insulation, air sealing, etc. and end up with better comfort and lower energy bills? I say that as someone who pays a little over $400 a year for natural gas (heat, hot water, range and dryer) in central Indiana where it gets pretty darn cold in the winter. I have done that while maintaining all of the historic character of the 1924 bungalow. You have an energy audit. If it was done well it should provide a road map for where to invest for energy savings. If it was done poorly, it will be standard items without much application to your house.

Well, but if that didn't happen, the subject of this thread would be, "Why don't people check the facts with the OP if they're not sure of them?" I have to say, in Lindsey's example, I had to read it a couple of times to get it straight. The syntax is a bit scattered. Without comprehending? Happens all the time. About a year ago, in Kitchens, I thought I had thoroughly read the original post twice through, but got it backwards--the poster had said that there would be a second sink in the island that wasn't in the drawing, and I was sure that there wouldn't be and it was going to be just an awful layout. I did read it! I'm usually a very precise reader. But I screwed that one up thoroughly. After the OP very nicely explained where I had gone wrong, I looked again, and sure enough that's exactly what it said. This is why people usually can't accurately proofread their own (longform) writing, or at least need a long break from it. The eyes--or the perception structures in the brain--skitter past the same error again and again. Some people also post based on the subject line title or based on the preview of the last post. Just a few days back I felt totally ambushed in another forum because people were just saying live with it when I'd asked for a specific kind of help to fix my problem. Every time I tried to explain better, it didn't help. The next day, I figured out that they were basing their answers on the thread title and not on the question I asked. This happens a lot. That's also why you get a long thread where the original question has been long answered and the posters have moved on to a discussion of whimsical teapots, but a new poster will post the same answer that four people have given and the OP has agreed to, and obviously hasn't even skimmed, let alone read, the thread. Why? I dunno.
