Hi all! It's been a long time.

Hello everyone. I'm not sure if you will remember me. My name is Gordana and I have 3 year old boy / girl twins, Tatiana and Alexander, who will be 3 in April . I am a stay-at-home-mom so I've been busy with them. We have been living in this house for over 2 years and are renovating it so we can sell and hopefully move back to the country. I had lovely cottage gardens this past summer that got a lot of compliments from neighbours and passers-by. I still make time to garden. I can't wait to get the twins into it. I hope you all have been well.

Well welcome back! I cannot believe the babies are almost 3.
Good luck on selling your house. Be prepared.
I was shocked at what people want today. They want a brand new house, with everything absolutely perfect. No mater the house's age.
At the time I listed my house it was almost 10 years old and custom built. Solid wood cabinets in the kitchen, baths, and laundry room. New carpet and completely repainted.
It was referred to as "dated".

In my life time I have owned 6 homes. I never expected the seller to provide me with my desires as to decorating. Like granited and stainless appliances. I have bought homes that had no appliances.

No kidding!! I owned the best house on the block, river-front, and people whined about everything. Mind you, I made out like a bandit!! ;-))

Wow! Love the farmer and his wife! They are adorable. Thank goodness you have posted your mom's art on her behalf! Keep that woman a workin' in the garden! I suppose she painted those cute faces on them herself too. *sigh* My painted faces would leave much to be desired. The face on the pot lady is so cute! I love her hair too. Question re: freezing winter squash

My question is in the same line as catherinet, so I hope you don't mind if I jump in. I didn't want to add a new question as it seems that risks bumping off another thread. I have the same problem as catherinet, no place to store squash. Too hot, too cold.... They have been threating a killing frost for about 2 weeks and all my squash didn't pass the fingernail test so at night I covered the squash itself with buckets. I didn't have anything to cover the vines with as I used up all my materials covering other things. We got the killing frost last night and I just picked them this morning. About 1/2 of them pass the fingernail test and the rest are hard, but not as hard as that. Does that mean they are wasted? Hopefully the buckets protected them enough from the cold. I stored some in the garage last year but they froze. Maybe I can put some in a cooler and cover with blankets or something to give them time to cure???

For that size pot, probably Home Depot or Lowe's. I have a friend who bought his at the Farmer's Market in OKC, but I think he still paid quite a bit for them. Also, Garden Ridge usually has fairly decent prices on pots, and this time of year, they may be running specials. Susan
