Questions about integrifolia

Earlier this week I purchased a blooming clematis vine identified as a seed grown C. integrifolia. A fairly nice sized plant, I could not resist it because of its extremely clear, pale blue bell shaped flowers. I could hardly believe this beautiful blue color and had to have it. When I later searched the web I found that these are small plants, described as seldom reaching over 1 meter (3 foot) in height. All the other clematis I have are ones growing to 8-10 foot or larger. I'm not even sure where I can plant one this small and not lose it.

What kind of special care, if any, do these small ones need?

Do they create large, bushy, many stemmed plants, or do they tend to remain small in all dimensions?

I love the flowers but an at a loss as to where I'll put this lovely little thing.

George
