Agave Colorata & Sago Palm winter protection

I have a nice size Agave Colorata and two Sago Palms. I usually keep them planted in ground from April thru Oct.

They are getting a little tough to dig up and re-plant. I would like some advice on winter protection. I was thinking of wraping with burlap and having some kind of plastic wrap around with leaves or hay packed inside. Any suggestions? We are at the Seashore and the ground is well drained. Thank you!
