Overwintering brugs with seed pods

All this talk about overwintering has got me thinking about how this might work. My brugs don't have a cold basement or anywhere else to go really dormant, so they spend the winter in my very cold but bright dining room or in a dark cold spare bedroom that is only used around Christmas for guests. I have a few that have several smallish seed pods forming, and one V. Peach that has a nice sized one. I would like to try to propagate these seeds in the spring, so I'm just wondering if anyone has any words of advice. If I cut off most of the leaves, and put them in the spare room, chances are the seed pods will not survive, right? So the dining room without going totally dormant is probably the best bet. What about feeding and watering? Slow down the summer schedule, no feeding at all, ....any ideas (keeping in mind this is for the seed pods.)
