What is happening to my poor Bearess Lime tree

I planted my tree about 2 months ago. It is planted outside in a amended hole twice the diameter of the root ball. It has good drainage with a sub-drain beneath the pit. The leaves are starting to loose their dark green luster. The leaves are turning yellowish green slowly. I drip water daily. The temperature is 70/55. The flowers have started and fruit has setting but no new leaf growth. The soil outside the original root ball is an amended clay 50/50. My guess, after reading some very informative message strings, is over watering or is it the roots are not expanding into the amended soil area. I have given it chelated iron supplement. I did find some large white grubs in the soil when I checked if water was getting down far enough. I am open to all suggestions. This is such a great forum. I have two photos of my poor tree but I can't figure how to unload them with my message.
