Brenda Delph/Seed Sprout Nursery said to go ahead and register the seedling that I have been calling Brenda's Beauty. It is a double peach brug that is a result of crossing single parents, in this case Butterfly x Cypress Gardens.

She has fuzzy leaves and large double blossoms, with a lemony scent. Likes cooler weather, and has large flushes for a double. She is fertile, and has set seedpods.

Since there are many Brendas in the brugmansia community, we think she might need another name. What do you think? Despite my name being Brenda, I named this one after Brenda Delph.

Anyone want to take a shot at coming up with a good name for this one? The winner gets a cutting of this one and I may throw in a surprise or two!

Haahaaaa bragging rights no, I'm not into bragging. Debate yes. The only reason I mentioned cutting is because the cutting often looks better than the adult. I have a collection of Ming Araila's that show that. But the same thing would go for how hard it is to propagate because that wouldn't make it a better plant in the time frame. But once again I'm flexable. I have read about you outside the GardenWeb. You seem to have the same afliction that I do... the need to grow anything and lots of them. I say that because I want you to understand my passion for growing but it's number 7 on my skills list. Photography is number 2. now I understand that you don't take pictures. While I'm very adept at it. Including stills. So how do we work on leveling those playing fields. That's why I was thinking over all plant. In the time frame given it cuts alot of advantages. And just in case I'm looking for seeds or shoots for this plant.

Hi...where do all those gorgeous sanse come from (and where do they go)?? Would love to take care of one or two (preferably ALL of them..he..he). Have to admit you guys in Thailand do know how to get the very best of plants (and I don't just mean sanse) Hanhan, are you from Indonesia? If yes, than that makes two of us... My collection of sanse is still quite limited, do you know where we can get good variety (at a cheap price, of course)... Thanks.

We participated in a kitchen tour just after ours was completed - it was a fundraiser for the NICU in a local hospital (where I sometimes work), which is the only reason I agreed to do it! We were told NOT to be home during the tour, but I trusted the volunteer staff to keep an eye on things. They were stationed at the front door, and posted in several places inside, directing traffic to the correct place. Visitors either took off their shoes at the door, or put on disposable booties, so dirt was not an issue. The flow of traffic from room to room was clearly marked, and the adjacent rooms were roped off. A local upscale housewares company set my dining room table with stunning crystal and china (no, I didn't get to keep it!) My house never looked so good! It was fairly stressful, because I changed my dining room light fixture at the last minute (something I had been meaning to do for quite some time), and thoroughly cleaned up the whole place, inside and out, ahead of time. I removed all pictures of family and identifying information from view, so it felt more anonymous. Yes, I still felt a little vulnerable letting strangers into my home, but it was a trust thing. I was very flattered to be asked. Tickets were pricey enough that only people really interested in houses/kitchens came through - not the casual/curious tag sale crowd. It was not judged, but we got really nice compliments and feedback (reported to us by the volunteers who were stationed at my house). Most people just looked and didn't touch, but some opened cabinets/closets, etc. like they were buying a house, so I suggest you clean the inside of your cabinets, too!

I'm off to the office- we open for half day on Saturdays, so I will be posting the list around noon for the runner-ups!

Any last minute suggestions will be considered. I am having a hard time getting it down to 10 selections, and my hubby just added his own suggestions last night!
