I have heard it's a good idea when buying a small clematis, to pot it up once or twice, each time burying a node or two. I can't figure out what to use that is deeper than a one gallon and not too wide. I tried buying a tall container from the store and it worked ok for a while, but wonder if any has thought of any other ideas. Thanks
