Evdesert very nice specimens They have found a nice home they will be well taken care of. I had a variegated lemon only flowered never fruited I guess Patty is right they are not fussy about to much strong sun. I have sun from morning to sunset.

Wow Patty, that means a lot coming from you, I joined the Garden Web a couple weeks ago and have read a lot of your posts, you are a wealth of citrus knowledge, your comments are very much appreciated. The Variegated Eureka gets all day sun right now, but by the time summer comes along, it will have afternoon shade from my house, I am in the Coachella Valley so not too far from you just very different in climates. It always amazes me how different climates are when I drive into San Diego only 2 hours away. Brian, thank you also, I hope my citrus that I have planted does as well as my other trees in the yard. I am posting a couple pictures of the petioles on my mystery tree so maybe you can help me with the variety. Thanks again!

That tree is absolutley beautiful no matter hwta it is...I love how it reaches for the sky..Just amazing all of them and very well planted as Patty said..

Hoping your weather is better than mine..What I would do to be able to plant many in the ground now that I know I could not fail from this forum.

Mike, thanks for the compliments, you yourself are another great citrus poster that I have read many great advice and posts from on the forum, I appreciate it. And yes, I am lucky in the fact that I get to plant my citrus in the ground here in the desert. Not so lucky in the summer time when its 115 degrees outside. It was consistently in the low 80's to upper 70's all of January out here and in the mid 80's all of February and its supposed to be in the 90's next week, so as you can see our spring is short and warm compared to others. I guess I should be grateful that I am not buried in 2 feet of snow right now. It was so warm this winter I don't think we had more than a few days below the mid 30's at night out here in December. That tree I cannot ID has really taken off this year, I removed a Texas Ranger that was over grown next to the Citrus and I think it was hindering its growth, seems to be much happier now. Thanks!

With no frost in my area of Tucson this past winter, the citrus are looking wonderful. 2nd year in the ground for the Trovita sweet orange and Rio Red grapefruit. The Lisbon lemon has been in the ground for 1 year and the Mexican lime was planted 2 weeks ago. Had about 20 sweet oranges this year and about 30 grapefruit. No lemons yet. All are covered with blossoms. Picture is the 1- year- in- the- ground Lisbon lemon.

Dochollywood, great trees! That's a nice harvest too! It'll be even better next year since us southwesterners didn't get much if any frost this year. Your trees are planted very well too and nicely mulched.

Thanks barb, he's a handful when we are outside, I can't turn my back on him for one second or he's at the grapefruit tree tugging on fruits. He will learn though, he has helped me plant several citrus trees this year so he will get to see how they grow and produce fruit.
