There is also the variegated Eureka lemon. Im not sure exactly what the Variegated Pink lemon is that Four Winds sells. Logees has one that they also sell called the Variegated Pink lemon and I believe all they say is that it's a "spanish lemon".

I would only order citrus from 2 companies but that's becauce there the only 2 I ever buy from anymore. That's Four Winds Citrus and Logees. I much prefer Four Winds. I also think it's important for you to know that you pay for what you get.

When I 1st ordered from Four Winds, I thought "Holy crap there expensive!" but the size and quality of that 2-3 year old tree was amazing! I have NEVER seen any citrus that looked that good from mail order!

Now as far as Logees, in my experience they can truly be a mixed bag. I either recieve very nice, healthy and robust citrus, or I get these tiny, spindly, what look like rooted cuttings, with poor root systems.

Another thing about Logees is that there notorious for shipping infested plants. A good friend of mine ordered a bunch of stuff from them and there order had maggots in it! YES MAGGOTS!!! AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, it took them months and months to get the owner to respond to my buddies complaint and even then they really didn't do too much about it.

Patty who I am hoping will chime in here, also knows of some great citrus suppliers. I forget the name of the company but if she doesn't post here, I will check my email and get back to you.

There's also Larry Orchids on Ebay but I have never ordered from them. There prices seem very fair but I would check out Garden Watch Dog. There a site that helps people with finding out if the company sells quality products.

Clifton's was the other nursery I was trying to think of. Patty said that there more expensive but there trees are even larger than Four Winds and they don't bare root which is a huge bonus! It will help your tree as fas as it not going thru as much shock, even though it is adviseable to switch the soil ASAP.

One last cinsideration...I would try and choose a nursey that is closer to the state you live in. It will really help you save on shipping costs. Especially with plants when you need them to get to you ASAP.

2 years ago, I bought a mango tree from Frankies nursery in Hawaii. Yeah, there are many nurseries in the continental U.S. that sell mango trees but this nursery was the only one at the time that carried this very rare and saught out variety.

What was my shipping costs like?? Oh, I spent around $60 on shipping a bare root mango tree that was only about 2ft tall!

Alexa, it entirely depends on where you live :-) If you live in a quarantined citrus state, you'll have to stick to online suppliers within your state. If you're not in a quarantined state, you'll have more options. Four Winds is an excellent source, and for those growing citrus, they're particularly a good choice, as nearly all their citrus are dwarf, grafted to Flying Dragon trifoliate rootstock, which helps keep size down.

Variegated Eureka lemon is the same as variegated Pink lemon (one in the same variety). Another nice variegated citrus would be the variegated Calamondin. Nice to use as juice in place of lemons or limes, and they make a lovely marmalade (I posted a Calamondin marmalade recipe on the forum a while back, you can search for it.)

Clifton's is a great online source, although more expensive. I am limited in my experience to only California online sources, as I live in California, so I'm in a quarantined state, and can only purchase online citrus from the state of California.

Thansk for the suggestions! I am in PA (not far from Philly) so I think Four Winds would be my best bet. That said, I didn;t see the elusive Red Lime on their site - any suggestions?

Alexa, sorry, I don't know what a Red Lime is. Possibly a a Rangpur Lime or a Red Finger Lime )Australian Finger Lime)? If it's a Red Finger Lime, both Four Winds and Clifton's often carry them, but currently they're both out of stock. You could try contacting both companies to see whether or not they'll have them in stock, soon.

I think it is an Australia Blood Lime - or is this like the "blue rose" that frequesntly pops up on the Rose Forum (They are either photoshopped or food coloring in the water)?

The link you provided is not the Australian Finger Lime, although when you read the description, you'll see it is an open pollenated hybrid. They know one parent (Australian Finger Lime), and are guessing at the second (either a Rangpur Lime or an Ellendale Mandarin). I've included a link for that below. This particular lime may not be available in the USA, as this is an Australian variety, and not all Australian citrus is available in the USA (yet). You would have to get seeds of this variety and see if you can get a seedling going.
