Just a few updated pictures of my clivias..:-)

Andrew, possibly another addiction?lol These are great for keeping in low light ares of the home, and for the darkest spots in the yard..They light up any area with light! You can store them in an area with less than a few hours of light all winter in the cellar, while all your other plants that need sun and light can have all the room in the home..

Some of them are starting to pop buds!

Masha, beautiful photos as always! Last year I noticed more mildew on my potted roses than on my roses in the ground (which also still had plenty of it, too). This year all roses in pots or in the ground are relatively clean of mildew. Go figure... Isabella Sprunt looks like a very nice pale yellow rose. I really do like her. The color combination of Condesa de Sastago with the Mexican sage and the Tibuchina in the background is so outstanding! I really admire your sense of color! The autumn pics of the trees are very pretty make me miss the Bay Area quite a bit. Maybe I have to visit soon, again :-)! Thanks for posting! Christina

Are you growing them in a large fishtank? Cause I see a glass wall. There are nice plants. Do you also grow them outside? Your Adelae might have more small babies on the side of the pot where the soil comes in contact with the pot. If you take the plant out of the pot, you might see some there. I have one in a plastic transparent container and some of the babies are growing at the bottom and some on the side deep in the soil where the soil meets the walls of the container.

Hi Kevin, Nice pictures!! When I saw the first picture by itself, I was going to comment that sometimes the pear shapes come out funny shaped, having grown the yellow pear myself for years until I switched to SunSugar. But when I saw the cluster picture, I think that is truely odd. I would love to have a few seeds of those. Would you save me some? I am hoping that they might come true for me next year. That would add nicely to the yellow "Emily 2-Bite" that I am working on that is a grow out from a line of volunteers found in a garden in (I think New York). The 2-bite is about the size of a ping pong ball and is also yellow/orange (so far).

They are solar globes. Had a lot more but they don't last long, they are color changing ones. They get wet inside and burn out fast. The rest are more protected and come from Wal-mart, and are plastic and some glass. The glass crackled globes leak so easily and just rust out.

some times i think that my plant is artificial ....lol

it is more or less in the same condition.. I had placed its pot with my Caladiums in ground, it gets filtered sunlight there.. worst a rat chewed one of its leaf blade's edge..

Very nice plants. How old are the ones that are blooming? Have the younger ones ever bloomed before?

Hi Mike,
Well done. I've been thinking of you and your clivias these past few months as we, kind of, challenged each other last year on the bloom for this year. You certainly won. I had a couple of stuck umbels and that was it.... I watch your "mark" on the forum as I'm in a similar weather zone that you're in (cold winters) and you have more experience. Took your and Al's advice. Got those clivias in the gritty mix early this year and I think I'll be better able to take the challenge next year!

It is so good to see you and I am thrilled that your's are in the gritty mix...Wait until you go to transplant one and the mix just falls away from the roots to expose the big beautiful very white roots...

I can't wait to your challange met! You know someting wierd, some of my plants are growing stem and flowers now that they have been outside for over a month..
