I can't wait to taste my wekiwa either. Last year I bought a 7 gallon that was LOADED with fruit, but once I brought it home I removed the tape holding the stake and the trunk split right down the middle. There were carpenter ants inside the trunk. I brought it back and got a refund, but about a week later I picked up one of the fruits that had dropped and was sitting in the back of my truck; it tasted pretty amazing.

Thank you, Carly and Mike, I'm doing fine, I've just had some disturbing issues coming up with both my job as well as my husband's, which has taken me away from forum activity. My citrus are all doing very well, time for some micronutrients, as for us in this part of S. California, the cold temps in combination with our drenching winter rains just leach out all the micronutrients in our soil, and what's left gets locked out due to our somewhat higher pH. So, I need to apply micronutrients to the soil as well as with a foliar application starting now. Interestingly, some citrus are nearly unaffected, like my Cara Cara, while others, like my blood oranges are really getting chlorotic looking. I think I'll also apply some chicken manure as well, but not so sure extra nitrogen at this point in the season is really helpful. It truly is a micronutrient issue we have here, especially those of us on DG (decomposed granite) soils. So, my line up is pretty much complete, unless I come across a Sumo mandarin in the near future (although I have a little seedling limping along). Picked one Oro Blanco a little early just to test, and it was so sweet, it tasted like it had sugar on it, but it was a wee bit dry. First crop, so not expecting great things. Unfortunately no. Succulents are popular in Southern California landscaping because of water restrictions due to the drought. Friends and family who gave me clippings planted succulents out of practicality. It is a hobby for me but to them it is a solution to keeping the yard looking nice with very little watering. Is it not okay to ask for identification of multiple plants on this forum? If the people who gave me the clippings knew what they were I wouldn't have asked...

I think your trees look great. They will be a nice addition to your Calamondin. I received a few orders for citrus over the past month from several different nurseries, and, some of my citrus had the leaf curl and spots as yours. I am sure whatever issues that caused it at the nursery were well monitored and under control. I just hosed all the leaves and trunk down with a good shower, checked for any signs of aphids or spider mites etc..then potted each one into a well draining gritty mix after hosing off the potting soil it came in from the nursey. They are doing great so far. Just keep an eye out for any signs of pests and hose them down weekly to keep problems with pests at bay. Fertilize with a good citrus fertilizer like Dyna Gro Foliage Pro and Osmocote Plus. Maybe one of the pro's will add a comment.. I am still learning from them.. :)
