More Blooms on' Lucky's Orange Brug'

Here is some more blooms on Luckys brug,this thing smells so good.Also a rose that I got on sale last year for.99 cents I have no idea what it is because the tag was not on it,but it is unique some of the blooms are like the one in the picture then some open yellow with just the pink around the outside like trim,and it smells good too.

wow you got yourself a beautiful rose! Of course Lucky is just a great orange. I hope mine will show it to me in RL soon.

Hi All: Thanks for the interest and advice. "Yes" to all tips!! I followed directions to the letter. Ended up with a thick layer of composted M and gravel on the bottom of the tub AND a very thick layer of Composted M on the top, covering the entire surface like paraffin on a jelly jar!! Right now, have a "new" bottom layer and added fresh water (slooowly from soft spray nozzle, held against the side of the tub to cause just trickle!!) Still skimming every morning, but just getting a "film". Will the plants continue to grow with the decreased lite in the dark water? When I had them in clear water while working on the tubs, they literally burst into stems and leaves and were looking good. My Lotus had already made a baby lotus leaf! I have it sticking out of the water, while the other growth points are underwater (but not covered with muck/gravel) Threas: So glad to hear that water can look like Tea water and still be OK. That's what my tubs look like. I was expecting the water to be clear. So maybe I'm going to get this right after all. lol. The water lilies I bought on clearance from Walmart are growing like crazy. Big leaves already, but not bright green. I guess they are not all green-leafed? Sorry for the loong post. Thanks for all the help. Gloria

Hey Brenda I feel the need for one of each of your babies. LOL The photos are breathtaking and Culebra is much more beautiful today than when you sent me the first photo. I'm finding I just love the brugs with the long tendrils or whatever you call them. Neat looking! I do have several here blooming and a good many with buds on them. I can't wait to see what each one looks like. The plants that I planted in the full sun have tripled in size the last two weeks or so. Today I gave them all some well rotted horse manure. I hope they like it and don't turn their noses up at it. Thanks for posting all the pictures....since I'll never be able to do so even with EVERYONES HELP".lol Yelp, I'm pretty much hopeless. I really like those! I received 3 seeds of flava Brug in a trade. The seeds are very different than the Angel's Trumpet. The seeds for flava are much bigger. Next year will be the first for a Brug, if the seeds germinate. I prefer them over the Angel's Trumpet. Yours have a nice form and color...

That is a nice orange. A deep orange is one color that I'm missing though I might have something with an orange flower that just hasn't bloomed yet. All these plants with lost tags are driving me nuts. Even if I'm never able to positively ID them I'd like to know what color they are!

I am really liking all the oranges that the cool temps are bringing out. Is this one always orange or is it yellow in warmer temps?

Lucky's orange is so pretty and it is a nice color for Halloween coming up too, lol. I like the rose. I got one called double delight last year that looks similar. I can't seem to get any good pics of the roses. I need to spray again too. I was just checking on the bloom from shredded white and it still hasn't dropped much. It looks like an alien coiled up in there. Didn't help that I found a green worm in the petals. He got smooshed since I couldn't pull off the whole leaf like I usually do. I hate touching them but I didn't want him to eat anymore of the bloom waiting on John to come smash him, lol.

Oh I cant wait my Lucky's Orange will be blooming soon. I think the plant its self has doubled in size!!! That is a beautiful rose, I couldn't grow a rose if my life depended on it!

Shawn,this one is orange when it opens it is creamy yellow then goes to the orange most of the time by the evening of the same day.
Rigo,does that mean you don't have one of these?
Mary I am glad yours is gonna bloom I want to know how you describe the scent,let me know what you think.

Bonnie, I will let you know what it smells like just as soon as it blooms. I am horrible at quessing the day things will bloom so I won't even try.

Yes, that the plant I will give for free cuttings. It is sooo big, and it's smell the whole yard.
Everyone should have it, I loved it so much.

Have you noticed if it needs to get to a certain height before blooming? I have a Y, but no sign of buds.

Hey Daniella I am so glad you are back missed you bunches,I don't think the height has any thing to do with it,I have one about 6 foot,with bloomns and one with the blooms almost hanging in the dirt,hope this helps.Hugs Bonnie
