Wow Kristy! You get right to it, don't you? My back is hurting, just thinking about all that manual labor! I know that it gives one great satisfaction to accomplish such a big task though. Like milk... It does a body good! Good for you!

Wow Kristy, It sounds great! I need to do the same thing, but just haven't gotten started yet. Hey, I agree with you, those "muscle relaxers in a bottle" are sometimes a gardeners best friend. LOL

Now I have a headache, lol. I am so tired and I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow but it was nice to get something accomplished. I even weeded the flower bed that runs the length of the back of house while we grilled before my neck gave out. There wasn't nearly enough beer to do everything I needed to do. I sure hope its not busy at work tomorrow and I can stay home. I need a day to rest. I had to dig up all my irises and a bunch of other bulbs that I can't remember what they are. I replanted the amaryllis but lost my tomato plants and some of the bulbs got chopped up with 4 of us digging. I was trying to be so careful and then one of the boys would stick a shovel right into one when I turned my back, lol. Oh well, I saved what I could. Lucy is going to come get some iris in the morning. I am afraid I won't get them all replanted and they will die so she can take some and I'll replant what I can or pot them up until I get the burm around the pond finished.

Kristy, make those slaves work for ya, lol. I wish I could get past my thinking that I HAVE to do things myself. Must be nice to have people help you. I get too worried that if someone helps me they will screw up or not do it how I want it done..know what I mean. I don't know what kind of "issue" that is, lol..but I have it. I guess maybe a control thing? Guess I'm not a team player, lol.
ANyway..I feel for ya. I could barely move Thurs and Friday. I do so much, that I don't even know what I did to hurt my back this time. Normally I work through it and still do what I would normally do, but it felt like someone hit me with a sledgehammer right between my shoulder blades.

You're so lucky to get help. I do most of it myself or it doesn't get done. I'd kill for help in the spring & fall. My DH works out of town so he's gone Mon through Fri. He does a little garden work if I ask him but the poor guy deserves a break too. He & I will probably be the ones bringing in all the plants. My oldest daughter has 3 kids & it's more work when they help. Youngest daughter is moving to CA tomorrow. One son is gone all the time & the other one thinks the brugs are a stupid waste of time since you can't eat them. One of his friends stole a pod from my Datura a couple years ago & ate it (don't know how much). They said he was talking to the toaster & his parents took him to the emergency room where they kept him overnight. He's fine but it scared the crap out of the rest of them. I think it sunk in & his experience taught them a lesson. I read him the riot act when he came back since I had warned them to leave them alone & I threatened to pull all my other pretty poisonous plants before they tried to eat something else. It was a couple years ago & I haven't had a problem with them since.

Lol, the toaster huh, I'm surprised I wasn't talking to appliances after the other day. I am moving some plants back there and I'll try and get a better pic. I don't have help very often unless Patty or Lucy comes and helps me plant things. John only helps with major projects when he gets around to it and that drives me crazy but he does water the beds in the back for me and is in love with the brugs even more since we finally have some blooms, lol. I didn't do much today but weed the 8X8 bed and go plant shopping with Patty. This morning I gave Lucy a bunch of iris and had to take John his lunch and then Patty called and wanted to meet me at the nursery. I was just in a sad mood so I went and it perked me up. Got a Mexican honeysuckle bush and a shrub that has orange trumpet flowers that is a hummingbird bush or something like that. I'll try and post some pics later since I am having leftovers for supper, lol. Too tired to cook again.
