Nepenthes alata got left outside and froze

My husband bought me a beautiful N. alata for Christmas yesterday and took it out of its nice, warm greenhouse and left it outside by accident last night and the temp was cold enough for there to be frost on the ground this morning. I'm afraid the plant is going to die. Is there any way for me to save it? It may just be in shock, but the pichers that were great looking before he left it outside are slightly shriveled now, and there are spots on the leaves. What do I need to do to try to save it, or is it a goner? He feels so bad, he didn't realize that it was a tropical plant and thought that since I have sarracenia outside that it was okay for this one to be outside, too.
