I would bring them in for the night to be safe....Goodluck!

Put up a shop light in a spare room with a grow bulb/full spectrum bulb and you can keep it growing until it blooms. I used my garage but you would have to put a heater in yours.

If they freeze, they will definitely lose their buds, and a good portion of the plant also, so you have to judge about the temperatures whether to bring them in or wait until later. If it is a slight frost, they can be covered with an old sheet during the night. We have had several frosts and I covered mine in zone 5, and they were okay.

That being said, it is almost time when we will be getting snow and hard frosts. I have actually brought mine inside already, just this week, for the winter. I have had them bloom indoors for me most years if I treat them as a house plant ( or forest LOL ). When bringing them inside, remember to spray them well with insecticide as you definitely do not want an infection of spider mites or aphids during the winter which can contaminate all your other house plants.

Thanks for the welcome. This is my first brug, so not sure how much I will have to add - though I'm a dedicated gardener. Mostly shade and natives. Bought the brug on a whim from one of the cheapo catalogs - had raised datura annuals before so thought I would give it a shot. First year, it didn't do much and I let go dormant over the winter. This year, I pruned, put out, and it split into the Y (is that right?). We had a very cool summer, and I didn't see a hint of the blooms, though it was huge, and I was really going to just chuck it (too big to keep if it wasn't going to do anything). And then, just the past two weeks I saw the buds - at least ten of them - and now I'm hooked! Though it would be great to find out about some smaller vareties.

Did you fertilize it during the growing season?
1st with regular fertilizer and once you get a Y....yes you are correct :-)....then we usually use bloom booster.

About 1 month before you let them go dormant, we stop fertilizing.

I sure hope that you can post pictures of your flush when they bloom :-)
