Here's an update on Frostine. A week ago I was sure she was dying. She just sat/stood in her little house and didnÂt eat. It was like a death watch. Then about 5 days ago I saw her out in the grass-pecking at things. I kept pushing treat foods and she would eat at least some. Over the weekend I was out of town and my husband let her out with the others one day and said she was acting quite normal. But he put her back in her separate pen. This morning she was acting despondent and I realized she had been essentially without chicken company for most of 2 weeks. So I let her out. She was definitely not keeping up with the others but she seemed to like being with them. SheÂs still very thin but her abdomen is not swollen. IÂm giving her the meds again. Tonight sheÂs roosting for the first time in two weeks. She still seems frail. Tomorrow I will figure out a way to give her some treat rations when the others are not around. Anyway, sheÂs still with us and I wanted you to know and to thank you for your support.

If you try again, put a few around the yard to see which do better in certain locations. I put mine in well drained, compost-rich soil that gets about 6 hours of afternoon sun/day, and in two years lost most of them.They just kept dying. I took the few that were left, put them in a 4" pot this spring, and I now have many more, and they are overflowing the pot. I kept the pot in a location that gets morning sun, dappled mid-day shade for a few hours, then total shade from about 3PM on, and watered only when I could remember to do so. I'll keep mine in containers from now on, in that back part of the yard. Beatrice

The first post shows the cotyledon being affected and the same with the last photo - but these are the seeds itself and its suppose to drop off. If the true leaves are affected then you have a problem. The pea plant = looks like it's been affected because there was a period it didn't get any water and then suddenly watered. A case of inconsistent watering. Was that the case? The one thing you should watch for is a fungus called DAMP. It kills suddenly. the entire plant just dies out. Once a plant is afected, throw it out before it infects the others.there's some anti damp treatments available at garden centres. However once this thing takes hold, it's very difficult to manage. Best to throw out affected plants and to treat unaffected plants. Do not over water the plants. Also keep your plants well ventilated using a fan (gentle cycle). I usually add a little layer of sand on top to prevent these things from happening.

Semps are winter hardy, down to z3 for most of them. They grow best outdoors, planted in ground or containers - just provide well draining potting medium. They usually suffer indoors from lack of light - that's why they start 'bleaching' (color gets much lighter) and also etoliate - stretch, looking for more light. Leaves start curving 'wrong' way as you can see in OP's photos. Silver king in last photo seems to be suffering from lack of light too. Overwatering is another very common problem, and from what I can see crown/rosette (pics 2-3-4) appears to be rotting. If you want to grow them, good light and good drainage are a must (as with all succulents). I am not sure if you can save the first one - depends on amount of damage. It lost that tight looks it should have and I don't see any cobweb either. The offsets may survive if planted. Second one looks just a little better, but provide better medium and light - otherwise it won't live either. I don't believe you can propagate them by leaves, they have many offsets (that's why their common name is hens&chicks), but only if growing under appropriate conditions. I am not sure where are you located - they don't care much for very high temps and lots of (prolonged) humidity. I grow them in ground and in the containers. They all overwinter outdoors (snow and temps below 0F). They will rot & die if left sitting in wet spot.
