Venus Fly Trap Flowering

I bought a V. Fly Trap from a botanical garden a few months ago, and it is kept indoors in a glass terrarium. It's very very small. I have not been feeding it, because I heard that is doesn't need to be fed during winter. However, I noticed that a flower stalk has emerged and is starting to bud. I'm pretty sure this shouldn't be happening at this time, so I'm not sure what to do. Should I cut the stalk off or let it flower? If I let it flower, should I feed it? Although I'm not sure I could find any flies around here...
