Its normal to loose a few here and there, as they grow new ones, to loose a lot its either WLD or its upset about something!
Being the center vein turning yellow and then the leaf,if not some terrible desiese... it sounds like some sort of nutrient deficency (nitrogen?), if the feed is the same as your other citrus, what about the soil pH? , it only takes the pH to be a bit wrong and it wont absorb nutrients.

Might it be because I accidently let that room get to cool at night for a few nights, which in turn cooled the soil at night ?
I normally keep the room 65 degrees and up at night, but for a few nights, meaning at least a week, it got down into the high 50's low 60's at night. I warmed it back up again. If you say it could be a nutrient defficiency, or that the plant is upset, could it be that it took up no nutrients when soil was cold at night for a while which in turn caused the leaf problem and drop in this case?
Does this make sense? I hope so. I hope it is just a matter of soil temp. I have been keeping the lights on as normal, and now that I am keeping it warmer in there at night, I hope the leaf drop stops. By the way, there is no new leaves replacing the old ones yet. All the fallen leaves are from the bottom and center of tree and through out. When I get new growth, these branches don't fill out again, I just get new growth from the top of the branches while the center stays bare. Strang ha?
I am having no problems with all my other citrus other than this "lemon meyer".
I am begining to think that "lemon meyers" are a very sensitive plant...lol All it seems they like is very warm conditions and very sunny conditions too. Anything other than this they seem to dislike. To me, I think they are more finicky than my gardenias. Oh well, as long as the branches don't start dying back, I hope it will fill out in summer again.

I have a meyer that is a pain in the 'ahem' you know lol. It dropped its leaves (about 75% of them) back in august. Since then it has sat in its pot and done nothing. Needed watering more than my other citrus despite lack of leaves. I left watering a couple of days too late, and it has responded by flowering lol. Only a couple of blooms though. However, I do see the beginnings of some leaves starting in one of two places! Finally! lol. I was holding out until spring before asking it was it was playing at ;)

This meyer also had one or two yellow veined leaves that shocked me when I first say them, but I don't think one or two is much to worry about. I gave it a dose of fertilizer when I watered last time, along with a sot of some epsom salts. When the days get longer they are all getting some sequestered iron for lunch :)

I think you are right. Meyers are fussy!

I only have one meyer now it was trouble at first but ive had it about a year,and now it seems ok but nowhere as easy to look after or as fast growing as a normal lemon like the lisbon or eureka, i hate meyer lemons!, they are the most picky plant i have ever owned.

I had second meyer for a few days.....

i bought it from ebay about 10th december, they delivered it, looked fine, but very cold, now no leaves, no lemons, looks dead! pot temperature was under 50F
At the same time i bought a 2 foot high eureka lemon, it was colder when delivered, and its fine now,4 lemons on it, new growth at the top were i trimmed a few snapped bits,some flower buds forming

Both had the same treatment, both were very cold, eureka survived, maybe the meyer will live, im not hopefull, no citrus tree i have has been as bad as the meyer lemons to look after,
I always presumed it was due to them generaly being rooted cuttings not grafted, but the one i just killed was grafted

Despite the pain it is to have one,
the only reason I even try this meyer is because I have been told that they are the ones of the lemon family that give off the most abundant and most fragrant flowers of all. Besides, any plant that is a challange, as much as I get frustrated with it, if I understand these plants and achieve sucess in the perfect growth..right..of this plant, I feel a big achievment...lol . That's it!
If there is an easier lemon to take care of, that gave off these two most favored qualities I enjoy, abundant and fragrant flowers, I might throw mine out, that is of course if I fail in this challenge, and buy up one of those.
Is there such a thing as a lemon tree that is just as nice and yet not as picky that gives off tons of flowers?
I have a lime, that thing is pitiful in the flower departmet. Sometimes I never even see the flowers, and yet fruit appears out of no where.
When my lemon meyer is in bloom, and doing well, of all the citrus trees I grow, that one, permeates the whole house with fragrance when in bloom. Next to this is my navel orange!! Wowa..:-)
