Stazia, You posted before that you had 15 acres of sun and woods to fill. I would certainly suggest you you not invade a woodland with anything as invasive as morning glory or Daturas. Also, because there has been some members join and then attempt to acquire massive amounts of morning glories, it has been suggested that no one send any more than 25 seeds per trade. I planted mine yesterday. Usually I wait until June 1st to plant seeds but there is no frost in this week's weather forecast so I took a chance. In New England it would be hard to find nighttime temperatures that don't dip below the mid 60s until mid summer and I've planted morning glories successfully other years. Mine have always been planted near the foundation of the house, so perhaps that helped keep them warm. Good luck with yours. I hope they grow well.

I harvest giant moonflower seeds as the pods ripen from late summer through fall. The flowers are currently blooming like crazy, so I would expect to have enough seeds to share later in the year. Since morning glory reseeds on its own, I don't normally collect the seeds, but I could make it a point to grab a few for you. As far as a trade goes, since you're in Elgin, how about some sausage? :)

Was there supposed to be a photo? "Morning glory" is a common named assigned to a whole bunch of different plants, many of them not included in Ipomoea but related via the family Convolvulaceae. And they come in all different colors, including white.
