As to tell people what not to post. and i was not trying to repeat myself your highness let me guess your from Portland i think you should just remain king to the homeless junkie kids in your state That you can not control. It clearly states in the GW terms of service - under section 6(guidelines), bullet points 1 and 4 - that you may not post advertisements to any forum. Also, the sphinx moth (not spinx) info that you advertised is not there at all, or just in an extremely un-obvious place.

I went to your site and I must say that I am very disappointed in you and your ethics. I wonder what the San Antonio and Austin Community would have to say about your attitude in this forum? Especially since, as jmcat states - posting advertisements in this forum is not allowed. Your response to Gene is very immature and irresponsible and it certainly makes me question what you have stated on your website regarding your participation in the community. If your attitude displayed here is an indication of your business attitude, then it is truly in big trouble and I am sure that the people on this forum from the San Antonio and Austin area will pay close attention to how your landscaping business operates and spread the word as is necessary.

Gene, I appreciate the fact that you and others on this forum try to point out mistakes that some of us make in order to help us better utilize this forum.

Thanks, Faith, for stating what others of us felt after reading Mr. Gore's response to Larry's post. I will definitely be sharing this with my relatives in Austin.

Mr. Gore, if you want to advertise on this site, you can. I have gone to the BF site in Texas after seeing their ad posted on the right side of the messages. I encourage you to go through proper channels. You will definitely be a lot more popular with the posters on the forum.

I was so offended by what this person said as well as what they said, I just couldn't sit by quietly and let them get away with it. Especially after seeing the claim that they were very active in their community. Anyone I know that is truly active in their community does not display such an ugly disposition. I appreciate your support of my position and hope that Mr. Gore will develop a better attitude and more generous nature.

This thread got of to a confusing start; the Spinx are not moths, but rather brothers Michael and Leon Spinx, professional boxers from the 1970's. One of them even beat Ali!

I'll see if GardenWeb will start a boxing forum.

I read this post back in November and had disregarded it. However, after reading that inane response to larry_Gene's reply I must say I am disgusted by that person's inexcusable forum behavior.

I am impressed that those who replied did not lower their standards and even addressed this person as "Mr" when he posted spam and then had the audacity to disrepect our forum leaders and forum members who are truly interested in moths (LG...thanks for the grins about a boxing forum - that was funny!)

As for the one that started this post - he can count on several more people that will never bother to check out his landscaping business after that horrid display.

Cat- Absolutely right! On the African Violet forum, I am currently fighting fires against a man holding a box of matches: yep, none other than our "friend" Mr. Gore. The only thing different is that now he's linking to his site when it has even less to do with the topic. He's asking advice on propagation, and then finishes off with a link to the well-known site of his. However, I have noticed the fact that he hasn't shown himself on this post again, and I doubt he will on the post I just mentioned, either.

Then my theory is that gardenWeb, awash in advertiser money, is no longer policing posted links, and relies on advertiser complaints to take action against the likes of the boxing promoter Gore.

In the whole forum scheme, it is rather trifling, but it does give spinx moths a bad name.

I thought it gave childish spammers from Austin a bad name. :-)

I wonder if he misrepresents the truth in business matters as badly as he did here with this post? His mommy should be very proud.

Out of morbid curiosity I did a post search and found it started a few other posts under the same ruse with the same bad spelling tendancies. Not many responded to those tactics.
