Moving Variegated Frit chrysalis?

How do you do it? Is it even possible? I have one and it pupated in a bad place and I'd like to move it into a container (didn't catch it in time). It doesn't seem like there's a black thing at the top to tie a thread onto like I would with the Monarch chrysalids when I'd move them. I can't tell...does the VF make a silk pad at the top? I'd like to move it if there's a way to do that without damaging the chrysalis.

Also, this chrysalis is smaller than a Monarch chrysalis. Is that normal? It's very pretty though!
