Enjoy them. I got a few more cuttings of rare tea leaves and a special plumie from John's sister. Just washed them all and cleaned them good and sprayed for any critters that might have been hiding. Got a small hilo beauty elephant ear from sisters yard and a special color plumie. I think all the things I chose will pass inspection. Can't take home too many but I would have liked to. Saw the large golden chalice vine growing along a mountainside. Was so very beautiful. Giant variegated mosteria climbing trees. So many plants to drool over so little time.. Got to go riding on the mules too. Had a fun day.

Pam, the deep blue flower in the last picture is Princess Flower. Eloise, the lemon is Mayer and is very precious to me. In my previous house I had 2 Meyer lemon trees in the ground. When we redone the patio the constructions guys cut and dug them out. I almost fainted when I came home and saw it. Few month later a shoot came from the ground and my mom was nursing it until it grew in a small tree. When I moved I dug it out and took it with me because reminds me of my mom. Thanks everyone for your concern. Yes, I am feeling much better. Can't wait to get rid of crouches. Pat

Thanks Cactus is Pediocactus simpsonii- The seedlings are doing good,I moved them outside with my 2 baby Takil seedlings-I have 6 more Takil coming-3 more WagxNanus,3 Oreophilus and 3 Geminisectus. Thanks so much everyone. Every time I sit down to post I get waylaid and distracted. So first things first............. inga, you are so astute because 'plonk' so describes my bouquet building. Here's the process......I get a bucket of water and my pruners and I go from one end of the garden to the other harvesting. Then I go to my work station which just happens to double as my hot tub cover. I choose a vase on the following criteria: overall size/mouth opening/height that I would guesstimate I would need based on the number and types of flowers in the bucket. I typically place hydrangeas first as a foundation because they have very rigid stems and full blossoms. I then 'plonk' the other flowers by color recognizing that roses which I seldom de-thorn need to be placed where they will stay the first time because they ruin the composition if you have to remove them. Having done so many by now, I have the actual process down to about 5 minutes once the vase is full of water and I start 'plonking'. Lovey Dovey, my mission has been accomplished if you have found enough pleasure to describe me as a kind sir. Besides, two of the first three loves in my youth shared your name :-) KG, What can I say other than admit that I covet your gushiness :-))))))))) Jim, thanks buddy :-) TNY78, I just cuts them and plonks them, my garden does all the hard work ;-) Carol, We've been going through a bit of a heat wave here lately and that spot next to the pond has become so enjoyable in the evening right after feeding the Koi. Aren't those fish tile fun ? Yeah, them long stemmed bouquets are kind of my signature by now, eh ? I agree LDB is one of my favs, those last blooms were about 8' off the ground.

Hey Brandy, I' love the stapelia(sp?) flowers, SO honestly on a scale of 1-10 how bad do they stink?
1 being almost no scent unless you stick your nose in it, 5 being a dog fart, and 10 actually triggers a gag reflex.

Very cool. I am deathly afraid of sharks and sure hope I don't see any next week. Last time I was in Panama City one nearly ate my sister off a float when we were little, lol. A fisherman had to jump off the pier where they were catching them and go get her. I love those flowers and thats my favorite sort of brug the deep pink ones that look like skin with veins, lol. Yeah I know I'm weird but at least I don't have crabs roflmao.

Looks like fun. What kind of crabs are those? We catch Blue Crabs around here. What exactly do you do with a dead shark? You don't eat them do you? Your flowers are beautiful, love the stapelias. So far the ones that have bloomed for me really don't stink. The color of your Super Spot is fantastic.

We went to Beaufort SC about 1 1/2 hours away. I definatly eat sharkkkkk/. SO Yummy Grilled. Stapelia dont really stink thaT i NOTICED. mAYBE IF i HAD MULIPLE BLOOMS.

Hey,
I'm from Brunswick and i used to catch stone crabs. You can only keep one Claw and only if it has both when you catch it and isn't carrying eggs. The brugs are very pretty Brandy.

I didn't know you could eat shark, except for something like shark fin soup. Is the flesh firm like swordfish?

The flesh is AWESOME!!! They werent mine. They were a fellow who was pulling into the dock. I got a good many stone crabs.
