Butterfy House, St. Louis Missouri

This past week, Mike and I drove out to see our daughter and her family in Ky. We went through St. Louis and stopped off and visited the Butterfly House operated by Missouri Botanical Gardens. It was absolutely incredible! The setting is an 8000 square foot greenhouse planted with rainforest plants. The butterflies are from around the world and were all tropical butterflies. I have posted photos on my pbase web site. I also got photos of a new fritillary, a Meadow Fritillary, and a Peck's skipper. I enjoyed visiting the Arboreteum at the Univ of KY in Lexington. They had so much Oscar MW planted--more than I have ever seen anywhere. There were Monarch cats on the plants. I actually saw more BF activity at this garden than I did at the MOBOT garden which we toured in St. Louis on our way home.
