Hi everyone! My hubby and I are getting ready to plant out the butterfly and hummer garden at my daughter's school(finally...woohoo!). The plans were drawn two years ago by another parent and I am trying to be true to her plans while incorporating as much of the knowledge I have acquired from all of you here.
My question is this: I have heard about passiflora incarnata but never grown it myself. I have also heard that you can let it ramble through a holly(or the like) instead of putting it on a fence or arbor. Would it be able to hold its own if planted on an arbor with a carolina jessamine, or would one of the vines out-muscle the other? Anybody out there have experience with both of these? There is an existing Nellie R Stevens that I could send it up if it couldn't handle itself versus the jessamine.
Thoughts anyone? Thanks so much...you all have taught me so much already.
