Nepenthes Experiment
I successfully rooted my first Nepenthes cutting at about mid-winter, and as with many growers i wanted it to make the biggest pitchers it could the fastest. And so, i borrowed an idea from fruit growers. Once it already had two pitchers on it, i cut off one before it developed at all, and i noticed the next pitcher was quite large. So, i took it further and cut down the next two pitchers before they could develop, and what i got was rather impressive:

It measures three and three-fourths inches in height, compared to the other pitchers were just a meager two with some change.
The following is the whole plant, in a four inch pot
{{gwi:553118}}
Maybe this is old news to everyone out there, or perhaps the other pitchers are the younger pitchers, and this is the start of the plant making "mature" pitchers, but even still, i think my method made a decent impact, and i was certainty impressed by the results.
