Can anyone ID this CA native groundcover?

Hello, I've been fighting this native "weed" for some time, until I came to my senses and thought of actually taking advantage of its "native-ness". These fine leaved plants create a dense groundcover and best of all need NO irrigation. They have outperformed creeping thyme, creeping phlox, sedums...basically any ground cover i've tried to use. Does anyone know the name of it? I'm in central, inland CA by the way, in the eastern San Joaquin Valley.
