have always wanted cp's, now i have them! advice please.

My local Lowe's had a number of CP's for sale on clearance. SO, I figured that for $1, and .50 each, I could make the attempt and not lose much if they didn't make it. Besides, I figure if they survive the condition they are in (reason they were put in clearance), I am doing something right.

This is my first time with CP's, and my first time here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the following:

Red Pitcher

Purple Pitcher

Venus Fly Trap

Butterwort

Sundew

They came in plastic boxes--their own mini-terrariums--and I am wondering if I am supposed to keep them in there, or open it for a period of time each day, or what...

I fed each pitcher plant a little bug (moth/fly). Should they be fed into the soil like a regular plant? My VFT's have no traps on them right now, so I cannot even feed those a fly if I find one. The sundew and butterwort also do not have a catching appendage out right now.

I will be researching these questions myself, but sometimes it is better to get info from a person growing them rather than a textbook type thing.

Thanks in advance,

Robin
