Sorry to hear about your buddy. I had a pomeranian who gardened with me every day. We had him 12 yrs and then he passed a few years ago. It took me till just recently to finally even want to get another little dog. I was so used to him being outside with me all the time that every day for awhile after he was gone, when I come in from gardening I'd forget and call for him or whistle!
I'll be thinking of you.

Cindy--I understand! I have lost animals and it broke my heart--today I lost my Dad and I cannot even describe my feelings. Hoping your little buddy will be up there with my Dad and you can rest assured he will take good care of him.

Linda I'm so sorry my pain is nothing compared to that. I have lost my parents a few years back. The hurt will be intense for a long time but you will eventually be able to think of him a feel the good times. I will pray for you Cindy

I lost my Dad when I was only three years old. So when my Mother passed a few years ago it was extremely hard. We were very close, in fact I was the first one of all her living children (4 sons & 4 daughters) to tell that she had breast cancer.

Just know that he is in the presence of God and that one day you will be together again.

And Cindy, we love our pets so much that losing one is almost comparable to losing a loved one. At least that is the way that me and my wife feel.

Both of you guys (Cindy and Linda), take care and know we are thinking about you and praying that God gives you strength to make it through all of this.

My Jake left Saturday (yesterday). I have been in a fog since 12:00noon Saturday.

My buddy for 15 years, has gone to Rainbow Bridge to wait for me. I had to make the decision because Jake was not able to make it for me.

For those of you with fuzzy buddies, please give them an extra helping of food tonite? And give them an extra smooch for me. For our lives are definitely diminished without them.

Linda, grief is such a strange thing. While we go along in life, trying to make it real, we are reminded of what is really important.

Your love and your memories will help keep him with you through your days. I wish there was something beyond these words in cyberland that could bring you comfort right now.

Please forgive, but I would like to share Rainbow Bridge with everyone, in case someone is not familiar:

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

My sympathy and empathy to you over your loss. For 13 years my beloved rat terrier, Pouli, helped me garden, or I should say "supervised" my work in the garden. He dug and ratted out moles and other varmits in the ground and helped out by chasing off coons and deer. LOVE remains forever and I still often think of him as I watch my two younger rat terriers rip and romp where Pouli used to roam.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. I have been keeping busy helping a friend move and doing yard work here so I am keeping myself occupied. Watching the birds flock to the birdfeeder that my Dad gave me from the homestead my last trip to NH brings peace and tranquility every morning while I have my coffee.
