More pics but still no brug blossoms

The morning glories are beginning to bloom. They were very late this year and several haven't begun blooming yet. I included a pic of the foliage of one that I thought was beautiful but I'm not sure of the variety. It hasn't bloomed yet and several have variegated foliage.

Karyn I love the plants and the way you take pictures of them. Like the first one in the misc. series. The red and white one. SO pretty!!

I have these 2 giant grass hoppers in the orleander bush. I KNOW that it is them and their friends and family that are eating the whole leaves off. Like from the Castor bean plant...they killed my 2 year old that came back every year :-(

But then for this loss...I look around and find something else that is still growing and brings me pleasure. Like the dinnerplate Hibiscus.

So seeing ALL your blooms....enjoy and in time the Brugs too will bloom for you!

You always have the most unusual stuff. Very cool. I like the streaked blue and white MG.

There were a few that I dug up very late last fall. They'd been out for several nights with temps in the upper 20's before I got around to digging them up. They are just coming back from the roots now. They're in pots in the unheated GH. They won't survive being left inground all winter here, even if I mulch heavily and plant them in a protected area. I don't know if it's a combination of the moisture and cold but they don't like it so they have to be dug up if I want to keep them. If they are in pots and your temps are going to be in the low 20's for more then a day or two I'd try to move them someplace a bit warmer because a pot doesn't afford much protection from the cold. You could always try wrapping the pot in a blanket if you can't move them. Karyn

The green thingy hanging down is a "leaf" from the Sea Onion (Bowiea volubilis). The white pinwheel flowers are a Vietnamese gardenia. It's extremely fragrant and different then the common gardenias. I have a few other "different" gardenias, a couple which should be in bloom soon, and 1 that will probably take years, a gardenia Cornuta. The tree itself grows like it's been trained as an espalier. I've had it for 3 years and hope to get blooms in the next two seasons. The one below the gardenia is a white sport from a hot pink perennial sweet pea. That one branch (vine?) has been producing white flowers for 3 seasons now. I should see what color the seeds produce. I don't know if they'd be white or revert to the original pink. The one above the rose is a cardoon bloom which looks almost exactly like my artichokes except for the color. I got seeds from Eloise a couple years ago. This is the first time it's gotten a flower. It will look lik a thistle when it opens. I really like it and the foliage is beautiful.

Karyn hopefully you will still get some flowers. This is early in the year for me to have so many. One thing at least likes this beastly heat, lol. Plumies are the easiest to overwinter for me. Just stick them in the garage and forget them til spring. The one with the gnome is a new variegated form of hibiscus. I haven't seen it flower yet but its supposed to red. Loved the foliage too. John got me the head planter for Christmas. I am trying to decide if it needs a mohawk, lol. All of our plumeria came from different friends and family in Hawaii and they don't have names. I'll look up that one and see if it looks like it. The pics don't really do the color justice. Its shaped different than all my others as well. I have 3 more open but need to move some stuff to get a better pic of the flowers. Couldn't reach it with the camera very well, lol. It really smells good. Morgan was rubbing the petals on her face and purring like a cat, lol.

My datura is struggling, but I hope she will come back after being eaten up by some worm good thing I got some s eed pods from her. So next year I will have yellow dats. all of my purple seeds did not come up for me this year I just don't know what is wrong with them they were last years seeds.

Wow! The MGs from the seed you shared are climbing like crazy despite the really cool weather we've had this year. I can't wait to see how they bloom out. I'll really be excited if they show like any you posted.
Now how the heck can you raise all the different variations of all the different plants you have. Thanks for sharing the beauty.

You amaze me with something every time I see your pics, lol. really pretty. I like the crab claw thing too. I see a little orange worm looking thing down between the leaves on the nun's orchid. Could it be a bloom about to happen? Stink bugs were chewing the leaves to shreds and I trimmed the ugly parts and repotted it. Hope it doesn't mess up the bloom if thats what it is.

Thanks. Will I keep a lot of plants in the greenhouse and only take them out during the growing season. Kristy my Nun's orchid bloomed in the late winter, early spring. It had 9 spikes this year and looked really pretty. The blooms look almost the same as a hosta bud spike. The 16th pic is an Impatiens niamniamensis (Congo Cockatoo).

The MG with the variegated foliage that's posted above bloomed today and it's a beauty. The cup is pale pink with some magenta stippling in the center and it's slightly ruffled. I'll take a pic of the next bloom. If anyone wants MG seeds just let me know. I have loads but they are all mixed together.

Beautiful flowers as always... Karyn! I like the pink Lily (#12)??? Not sure which one it is??? What is the last picture with variegated foliage and purple flower? Very nice!!!
Oh and.....ME ME ME ME!!!!! I would love some MG seeds! They sure are beautiful and even a variegated one!!! Imagine that!! LOL!!!
