Thanks everyone - I really appreciate your input. Linda, I have A. incarnata and syriaca planted from the winter sowing I did. I had two A. asperulas, but one got killed off when the mower topped them - it just didn't recover. Unfortunately, I don't have A. speciosa. I'll try to get some seed this year and plant some of it. I decided not to plant the A. verticillatas I had. The one I got last year didn't recover from the winter we had (I'm guessing), plus they don't have enough foliage to really sustain that many cats. I would have to have a field of it. I will rely on the incarnata. I may have some viridis as well - as you know I lost my tags on the winter sowing. I had lots of flats of milkweed, though, so there is probably some I planted. By Butterfly Weed, I'm assuming you mean A. tuberosa, Brer, the orange flowering one? I've tried growing that and it just doesn't do well for me. Also, it doesn't host the Monarchs here in Oklahoma anyway. If I ever find a nice plant of one, I may try it again, just to see if I can do it. Susan

Hi Mary, Hope this finds you doing well and that you had a very good growing season. These seeds did really well. They have been in flower for the past three months. I've never had a milkweed bloom so much. The first batch never did germinate. I have had tons of insect visits during this time but only two small pods that have not really developed much. I had three Monarch caterpillars on the plants and they pretty much stripped(ate) most of the foliage but the plants put out more leaves after the caterpillars molted.. I still have them in a 12" pot but will probably divide them once they stop flowering and plant them in the garden. I was wondering how your seed production has been this year? I would like to get a bunch of seed from somewhere to grow and distribute to all the folks here in my area who are into this like you and I. Any chance you might have some to share again or know someone who does and/or somewhere I can purchase some. Thanks for any help. Regards, Mark
