euphorbia obesum: should I just leave well enough alone?

I have an e. obesum on my windowsill at work. it's warm, sunny, and dry in my office, and the thing is perpetually in bloom. I water it about once every two weeks.

I keep thinking I should put it outside for the summer. Our summers tend to be warm and humid, and can get rain on average between 2-4 times per month.

I seem to remember that this plant can go years in the wild without water, and may NEVER get rainfall. Perhaps I've misremembered?

Anyhoo, I'm wondering if this is a good candidate to go outside, or should I leave it on my windowsill/desert.
