I have monarch caterpillars on climbing hempweed.

I am new here and I wondered if I might get some information. I have some climbing hempweed that has come up by itself in my yard and is covering one of my rose bushes. I looked out the other day and it was just covered in butterflies. Yesterday I found 2 monarch caterpillers on it. I always heard that monarch caterpillers only ate milkweed but these were eating the hempweed. Is this plant related to milkweed? I am very exited to have these caterpillers is my garden and I want to save the seed for next year but I hope this vine doesn't smother my rosebush. Also the vine is covered in little yellow aphids. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them without hurting the caterpillers? Thanks for any help you can provide.
