Hi Greg - I live a few miles from the Burbank house and I've talked to them about their cannas before. There is certainly confusion. As for their Rosemond Cole it doesn't agree with the Rosemond Cole standard. They have a bit of documentation on what they said were Burbank cannas. Many names I could find no trace of when asking canna experts. I believe the general concensus is that Burbank may have "introduced" some cannas to the area, but he was not actually the hybridizer. During the introductions he may have renamed some. Great garden though! I drive by it often and I enjoy stopping now and then just to look around.
