Hi all, I've gotten a few emails about when and specifically where (I haven't sent the email yet); I'm still trying to get a few email addresses from folks that contacted me but didn't give me their emails, and I have no way to contact them: -amester -Silke Popp -HazelB -GoldenGuy -lisaluwho (from the plant trade page; no contact yet) -GarnerGarden -ZachS -yellowdoglvr Again, if you haven't typed out your email address when you email me, I have no way to contact you. I will NOT be posting my address here in the forums, so please send me those emails so that I can send you details! Here is my proposed timeline, and Bonnie, please chime in if my times are way off. I propose people start arriving at 11 (earlier is fine if you like) so that we can begin eating by noon at the latest. That should clear plenty of time for us to begin describing the plants that we brought for the swap by 1:00, with the madness being over about 32 seconds after the free-for-all begins. I do remember that last year we did 4-5 rounds of picking before we did the free-for-all, and I'd like some feedback on how everyone thinks that worked? (I liked it) We should be wrapped up by 3 at the latest, unless we get too verbose in our descriptions. I'll be sending out the email with address and directions later this week. For those that are wondering roughly where we are going to be, the main crossroads are Pomona and Wadsworth in Arvada. To sum up: Look for an email later this week Show up: 11 or 11:30-ish, mingle and meet Lunch: noon, seconds served at noon-thirty *wink* begin describing: 1:00 first picks immediately after descriptions are complete, and free-for-all after however many rounds of first picks we decide.

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY, DONNA!!!!! We love you! Check in and tell us how your BIG day was!!!! :-) NHSuzanne: Hilarious video! Thanks for the laugh! If we had TV like THAT, maybe I would consider cable again! LOL! Bummer about your fence. This is the first year that we haven't lost a tree or two on our property. We've had some REAL windy days, but nothing took out our trees, thank goodness. Your garden beds look ready to go! I have to haul dirt and turn it into my hay/worm bin castings and spread it. Then I, too, shall be ready! Easter...I am getting the 2-three year olds again (they are becoming very special to me!) this weekend, Saturday at 11am and overnight for Easter! I LOVE HAVING KIDS ON HOLIDAYS! And, my DD got laid off, so she is here for a week. She's looking for jobs online, and she can do that anywhere. So, it's a perfect weekend! MIL arrives in 6 days for a week-long stay, but without FIL, so that should go easy. Remember, FIL has Asperger Sydrome, so it takes a lot of energy to have fun with him. DeeMarie: CPAP! It's a lifesaver! So glad you're doing this for you, your loved ones, and US!, my love! Peg: Good attitude! As far as caustic family members go, I think many of us have one or two of those. We deal, but it is painful to have family members that we can't just "be" with. :-) Since you asked, projects OUT of the kitchen are many and they are getting accomplished! It feels so good! I feel like I am FINALLY getting things under control. I need to tackle my yard and garage and just get it STARTED! Okay, back to scanning and filing paperwork for me!

TGIF.....and I REALLY mean that! I got home from the GENESIS concert at 1:30am, and the alarm went off at 5:15am as usual. I am exhausted from the Tuesday charity event where I got to bed at 1am. Too much late night for me. Phil Collins wanted all the "old people" to shout last night...he had about 50,000 of us screaming. Too funny! QOD: Nothing but chores so far. Tonight DBIL is coming over for dinner (and to help DH with our master bath which is still not completed). I plan on crying a bit more over my beloved METS who are falling apart. Tomorrow I hope to get the scarecrows and such out on the lawns and get to the garden center for a few mums and pumpkins so that we can finished decorating the outside of the house for fall; inside is completed. Sunday we will chill in front of the TV to watch the JETS, and in between I will get some more cooking finished for the week. OK, gotta run to the grocery. I took this afternoon off as vacation. After some errands I'm going to take a nap! Make today count! Check in DeeMarie PS: I was invited to join a committee here at work for our holiday party. It will be attended by 40o people and they want an "80's prom" theme. I remember the 80's well but was older than my teens (ahem!!!). Any suggestions welcome. Not sure many people will dress up, but giveaways and such that people could put on might be an idea. It will be held in a huge hotel (Hilton or similar). Thx!

Just got back from Lowes with my sister. Got some confederate jasmine, a cool looking penstemon, a purple osteospermum and blue princess flower shrub for my sister. Found a bigger pond I told hubby I wanted. I like it much better than the other. Nice and deep in the middle and nice size shelves in the corners. I think my huge water lilly will be much happier in there so it has room to spread its leaves on the water instead of over the edge.. Got all the plants for $20 on clearance and they were in good shape. Got some other neat stuff at a consignment shop to turn into planters and 3 matching obelisk for $25 dollars. I started early since we are going fishing at 5am. Yuck. I hate getting up early, lol. I love all you my gardening buddies. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I will be back at home tomorrow evening and check in. I found a cute VW bug for the shop with a planter in the sunroof and John has had his bug since 1960 I want to paint it red like his car, lol. Now I need something to put in it that can handle sitting over a hot asphalt parking lot. I looked at the succlulents at lowes and they wanted a fortune for them. I guess I will look for something else, lol. Really enjoying my sister and daughter being here.

Thanks again everyone. Elizabeth I am looking forward to that honeysuckle. Its so pretty. The jasmine vine I got smells heavenly. I wish I had seen the portulaca thing before I went to Lowes. They had a whole flat of it on clearance when I was there. I better be going back to Lowes anyway in the next day or two to get my pond or I'm gonna throw a fit like a two year old. I reallllly want that pond. I think its a 100 gallon one. He said I could get it but have to take the other one out and put it there. I said ok but I really plan to join the two, lol.

Lol, you know I had a great cake. It was a molded chocolate one with chocolate pudding and strawberry sauce and iced with that hard chocolate shells and topped with chocolate covered strawberries and hubby got me my favorite cut flowers 2 big bouquets of alstromeria. I had gotten some in one of my first trades but they came up. I love those. I fell asleep after fishing and they had to wake me up at 9pm to eat my cake, lol. I was whooped bad I guess. Not used to all this running around. Thank you all for the nice birthday wishes.

Thank you all. Me and my sister have had a blast hitting the flea markets today and discount racks yesterday. Got all sorts of neat garden art. Plant stands, plants, little trellises for climbing plants, etc. Good thing she doesn't come too often. We would both stay broke, lol. We got really good bargains on everything we bought though. Now we have to figure out how she is going to get all this stuff in her car to get back home, lol.
