HAVE: Intrest in a Plant Swap in the Barrie, Ont area?
Comments (60)I will set aside a good sized Filipendula and red current seedling for you, Adam and keep a ground cherry seedling for you, sunita_fleuriste. The seedling seem to be doing well now. The Cookstown Wingding is that day too. For those of you coming from afar, you should make a whole day of it and go there, as well. The entire town is a garage sale! As much as I would love to have it here, I have looked around and given it some thought and I have no parking. People can park on the road but it's a country road without a lot of space and I have a driveway that is about 180 ft long. I don't think it would work out well. I say we go with the school, lots of parking there, and it will be dry. If it rains there will be space under the front overhang at the school. What school, where? and what time, please? Later afternoon would be good for me as I want to go to the Cookstown Wingding in the morning. Can we do after lunch, around 1 or 2, or later, if that's ok with everyone? I have added so much to my list and am still adding daily. Here is what I have so far and only a few of each: Perennial Sweet pea (if they are up by then) Filipendula euonymous - verigated sprawling ground cover ground cherry seedlings red currant seedlings pink obedient plant Impatiens gladulifera seedlings cinnamon ferns - if not under water mayapple trout lily dosaki cucumber seedlings goji bush seedlings hardy hibiscus - 1 yr old mixed feverfew forget me nots ninebark shrub white honeysuckle shrubs unknown and probably a bunch of other stuff by then too. I don't think I'll post another list, just bring a few of everything I come up with. This is fun! A friend gave me a massive peony yesterday!...See MoreWANTED: Barrie area exchange
Comments (32)hi all, I'll be coming to the swap on saturday. Here's what I have so far. Datura Black Current Swirl (2) promised to Adam and Running Trails. I had many more seedlings of the datura but I had to be away for a few weeks and a lot of my seedlings died. Everything else I have seems quite mundane...sorry. Pink Columbine (Many-self seeded in my garden) Other Columbines (wintersowed) Sweet Woodruff Unknown hosta Forget Me Nots (myosotis blue) White chrysanthemum (flowers look like chamomile...there is a pic on my profile) Creeping Jenny All the castor bean seedlings perished as well. I have started them again, but they will probably not be up by saturday. Possibly a few other things, I shall be going to a plant sale before I come. See you all on saturday. Just to be sure, its at 1pm at the school on Mapleview right? Sunita...See MoreAnyone else have a living area that doesn't get much light?
Comments (8)Go for cozy and use a dark rich color. Make sure you do have alot of layers of artificial light. Overhead+lamps. Our library is not as bright as our family room. We opted for darker richer colors in the library vs. white walls in the family room. I also added lamps even though we have recessed lighting. I would go for a dark teal or navy ( hale navy), but do these colors go with the rest of your decor or are you starting from scratch? A dark brown or charcoal (kendall charcoal or fairview taupe)can also look very nice, so it doesn't necessarily need to be a "color". This is BM kingsport gray. It's a bright room, but even with the drapes closed the color looks great. This is the library that isn't very bright: Compare this to the family room which is very bright so can handle white walls: This post was edited by pps7 on Tue, Jul 2, 13 at 20:52...See MoreAnyone live in the Melbourne Florida area?
Comments (2)We own a home just south of there in Vero Beach, so I'm somewhat familiar with the area. We sometimes use the Melbourne airport. I spent a couple hours there last week. There are a few good restaurants and shops downtown and along the beach. Check out VRBO or Homeaway for rentals available on the barrier island....See Morekrystine
