There's always variety in seeds. It's one of the beauties of them and that's how new varieties of plants can be discovered or bred. Thank you for the responses. I'm looking for one with speckled blossoms so it sounds like Bluestone can supply what I need. I discovered these on a trip through Missouri last week and feel that it will look good in our landscape. I also saw some other colors that look interesting. The orange one is what I want first, but there is a red one that is also high on my list. I also saw a solid yellow that looks good but won't fit into my landscaping as well. There are even some purples for those that have things in their landscaping that it would look good with. Anyone else with information on these, please post.

Hi If you are interested in the daylilies or plants that I have listed under wanted Ed Murray, I would be interested in your day lily list. Trades are not hard really. You wash the fans and let them soak while getting off all the dirt. Weight costs. I send daylilies not partially sandwich bagged up and wrapped in wet paper towels and newspaper like you do other plants like hosta, viola or siberian irises. They need the roots part to stay moist. Make sure all plants are clearly labeled. I send tags when I have spare ones but people can be ingenious in the ways they get marked. Pipe cleaners seperate daylilies, newspaper can seperate them too. Venetian blinds, tapes of different sorts and milk cartons can be converted into tags. Use whatever works and remains light weight for mailing. If you can send an unknown in the package it is fun too. Lots of us include a bonus plant like I might send another daylily not asked for but is not on yout trade list or an extra hosta piece or iris, something I can spare, it is not necessary in trading but it makes it more fun. Sending priority and asking for confirmation on a Monday or Tuesday is the way I send things for if you live near Maine no problem with regular mail, that usually means overnight or a day but if I send to hot areas like Virginia or wait until Friday especailly on a holiday, it gets stuck in the regular mail and could rot or be dead by the time they get the stuff. Most traders will ask if you send priority or not and will decide to do a trade or not based on the condition of the plants when they arrive in the mail. I prefer to send them the things as quickly but as cheaply as can be done meaning at first I bought priority mail boxes but reusing one sent to me in trade or using other boxes is okay as long as labels are changed and company stuff blacked out. The post office will approve or disapprove of the box type when they see it.When you say perishable they will mark the box so for priority mail. Keeping a printed list of emails with regular persons you trade with helps too. I wished I had when my hard drive died last year. Learned the hard way. Most set up the trade and when the addresses are exchanged expect the trade to be sent right away but in some cases things just happen like hot weather fries your plant unexpectedly, waiting for it to recuperate is preferable to it arriving dead, last year a hurricane happened. Exceptions can be made so no risking your life to send out a package like one trader did last year. Take care, Juliannna or Zintal That just about covers it I think.
