I really wanted to go, but this was just an otherwise insane weekend for me. I did have a member of my OS pick up some plants from Howard G. though and I can't wait to pick them up tonight. As for clerking, when you volunteer, speak to the person who organizes it and ask not to be placed on the Phal-only team. Follow up at every OS meeting after that. They'll get the message. (My first year clerking, I got stuck on the white Phal team. Seriously, just white Phals, plain, with spots, blush... When they asked me to volunteer again last year, I made not seeing Phals only a condition. Of course, we're also really hard up for clerks or volunteers of any kind here, so that might have helped.) Dropped in on the Saskatoon Seedy Saturday which has moved to a larger venue as it becomes more and more popular. Some of the regulars were there and was pleased to find Heritage Harvest Seeds there with many of their seeds available for $3/packet. They were a long way from home as they come from Manitoba but I am sure it will have been great advertising. I bought their Vegetable Marrow for marrow marmalade making. I also bought a packet of Henry Eckford Sweet Pea and Pink Thai Silk California Poppy. Lunch was a tooney and it was quite good. Beet borscht with multigrain bread and a spoonful of cabbage salad. Hello everyone, I am contemplating going to the Seedy Sunday at the Montreal Botanical garden next weekend (Feb. 8th). Has anyone ever gone to it? Is it retail seed or can anyone with seeds to swap go? Is there an enterance fee?. I have not found any answers to these questions via the Botanical garden website nor Seeds of Diversity so I am hoping a GW member or two might be able to give some imput. Thank you, Donna

I went last year and it is only growers selling seeds. The botanical Garden website describes it as " Come discover the wealth of our plant heritage and meet growers of organic flower, herb, medicinal plant and heritage vegetable seeds" . It was lots of fun, a lot of people, and at least a dozen sellers of all types and sorts of seeds. Seeds of Diversity had a booth there as well with seeds, publications for sale, and information. There was no admission for entry to the sale, but parking was about $l0 as I recall. It was a good time and I found a few new seed sellers who were very happy to share their knowledge.
