OT: Easter Bonnet Wishes

Happy Easter to all from Easter Bonnet Brindei!!!

My friend sent this snood just in time for Easter. Of course Brindei only has to wear it when eating so her ears aren't soaking up the food in the dog bowl. Hope you all had a special day! I hope to be sending pictures of my first ever brug blooms soon!!! I can't wait!!!!

Joyce happy Easter to you also. The snood reminds me of something I made for the kids and me a long time ago. One was so long you could wear it also as a minni dress rofl

Pal, I can't think of an answer because I can't quit chuckling. It just figures if I posted that someone would post what you did. LOL. Didn't mean to offend but everyone has different taste and I always hated those pictures with a passion. It was a mix of traditional hymns and a couple of newfangled songs. The new bits are in a traditional vein, however. I don't know why it is frowned on; although I myself am a devout churchgoing Christian (a liberal one, imagine that) I certainly recognize the pagan origins of this ancient holiday. We do love our Easter Eggs and even have an elaborate one on the White House lawn in our nation's capital. And the baked goods at the church for coffee hour were quite spectacular, fashioned like bird's nests, chickens, etc. Plenty of Easter dinners, too. Alas, the singing did not go that well. Despite our best efforts, the jazzy Alleluia piece our pastor wrote proved too complicated and we were not remotely together or in tune with each other. Live music, you have to love it! No do-overs.

Reminds me of the wolf in Little Red Riding Hood when it was pretending to be the grandmother. lol I don't envy the grooming it takes to keep them looking so good. I keep meaning to ask about their tail every time you send me a pic. Is the tail fur naturally short or is it trimmed?

I have never seen those dogs with anything but those tails. Joyce we need a tail photo rofl

You guys are just too funny!!! Lucy maybe you can help me crochet some snoods. I am trying to come up with my own patterns. My friend did send me one she made and it could fit her whole body like a dress too!! Kylie, you are right she is a very good girl. She is the best behaved Afghan Hound I have ever had! I would like to clone her. Karyn, the AKC standard for the tail is:
Tail set not too high on the body, having a ring, or a curve on the end; should never be curled over, or rest on the back, or be carried sideways; and should never be bushy.

Most of the show people strip the hair off the tail. Brindei is spayed so she grows way more hair than if she wasn't. I just had her trimmed up and she got a California Cut Tail! If you show you are NOT supposed to trim the Afghan Hound at all. But people trim, dye their hair, color their noses and on and on.

I didn't tell you all that they do in Dog Shows. You really would be disgusted! The snood she has on is fine, it was another one that was a whole body size!!! LOL!!!

With the oversized snood...well Halloween is coming up again lol But then you do such a nice job dressing them up. Some things you just should not recycle lol
