Agave attenuata

I don't know about the Agave, but the cactus looks like a Trichocereus pachanoi that's seem some hard times. It will take a light frost, and maybe a little freeze, but it is from the (relatively warm) hillside of the Andes. A good measure to use is no wet feet when it's cold. You should water it in its growth season (now).

Inspiring! I have some lawn that I want to rip out and replace with succulent plants, also mostly agave, echeveria, sedum, etc. What you've done is great. The best part is all that hard work went to build something that will just get better and better every year. Your unknown Agave is probably gypsophila. It looks best in part shade/part sun where it will become very blue. It is often said to be frost sensitive, but I'm not so sure. If you can keep it dry during the coldest part of Winter, it does not get Agave edema and blister. Mine survived without damage sustained temps of around 25F during the great Freeze of 2007.
