OT Anyone want Esparansa (sp) Seeds?

Sorry I don't know how to spell them, and I couldn't find the spelling in any of my gardening books.

I have a bunch of these seeds I just harvested off my plants and would dearly love to share them with anyone that would like some. This is the little tree like shrub looking plant with all the beautiful bright lemon yellow blooms on them all summer.

Please send me an email and I'll get them in the mail to those of you who are interested. Be sure and give me your address unless I already have it in my little black book.

Oh Marian: This sounds like a lovely plant. Looked it up and seems it will LUV my hot, dry temps!! FYI: It's a Texas native... grows wild there. AKA: Yellow Bells, Yellow Elder, Hardy Yellow Trumpet. Common name: Esperanza (Tecoma stans). All this to say "Yes, Please" I'd like very much to try this shrub out here in SO CALI. PLMK if you need mailing address. Hi this is my first time on the brug forum..but I just started growing adeniums from seed...I have 25 sprouts..and they DO have cute bottoms..LOL They need bottom heat, and the seeds must be fresh, and soak them for four hours before planting. The seeds must be planted horizontally...and part of the seed must be peeking out of the dirt...so I actually just put mine ontop of the dirt and they did fine. They like HUMID conditions, so use a dome cover, or some saran wrap with some air holes...but be careful if they are too wet they WILL rott. I hope this helps some..it will take 2-3 years from seed to see blooms, and if you google them you will find a lot of info. Good luck !

Oh my goodness another one to enable...lol I hope you know what your getting into Kym. These people are not only very friendly but they are all ENABLERS. You will have more brugs than you know what to do with shortly. I'm sure some of them will help you out with your other addiction too. Want you Karyn?.....LOL Please make yourself at home with the greatest group of people on the garden web, nah, on any of the Garden Sites on the web. These people are WONDERFUL, kind of like one big family here. If you have something to share we all want a start of it. If you have something your looking for most of the time someone here has it and you will have one shortly thereafter. Karen & Linda: Info says this shrub is cold hardy to zone 8.. North of that zone treat as an annual or plant in moveable container for wintering in warmer quarters. Gloria

Marian, am I too late? I would love to have couple of the seeds. I love yellow flower, is it easy to grow from seed?

I have plenty to send to all of you. I need you to email me hong2007 and give me your full name and address so I can mail them out in the morning. I think I already have everyone else's address in my little black book LOL.

Mike did you want some of the seeds? Just email me if you do. I personally winter one of two over in the greenhouse each year.

I will be mailing the seeds in the morning to Gloria, Carmen R., Karen B., and Linda C.

Do they grow fast Marian? I have seen them for sale here and they are beautiful but usually about $20 for a small plant so haven't gotten one yet.
