Watered succulents on a rainy day

Hi all, I'm a new member here and looking for some advice on my new succulents. I got a bunch of little succulents last weekend and planted them in a bonsai planter, with 1/2 cactus potting soil and 1/2 little pebbles. The last time I tried this, all the leaves fell off, so this time I just let it sit for a week before doing anything. But today I saw the little rosette looking ones are starting to try on their bottom leaves, so I thought it was time to water.

I listened to the plant shop's instructions and watered thoroughly as succulents apparently like. Then I realized... it is super cloudy out and is not going to get sunny til Monday!

Is there anything I can do to make sure that the plants don't get further damaged? And was I right that the drying bottom leaves meant it was time to water?

Thank you!
