Two dozen! They'll take over the world!!!!

What is it you want to cut down? Are last year's flowers still on there, now crispy brown things? The plant itself only grows a couple of inches high, not much to cut down. They do spread sideways though!

I pull off the flowers when they are dead at the end of summer. My plants are well-established and I hack them back mercilessly at any time, but you should probably give yours a little more time before getting too aggressive.

That's too funny - I'll keep an eye on them so they don't take over! I didn't do anything with them last year; the brown dead flowers are still attached to the long, noodle-like branches (for lack of a better word - I'm new to sedum!). I was wondering if I should cut off all the long noodles, since they look like they are dead, or do the flowers regrow on them? Am I totally confusing you or what? :)

The flower heads, and the vertical stalks they are attached to, are dead. They should just pull off. The horizontal stems with leaves lying along the ground are alive, they will creep some more this spring, grow rosettes of leaves up a little, and then flower again.

Do you still have leaves? I've heard it can lose its leaves in winter but never lived anywhere cold enough to see this. So maybe you are looking at bare stems lying along the ground? You should leave those.

I have spent quite some time looking for the answer to this question myself. I also have Dragons Blood that in the spring looks like little red buds on the end of long pieces twine. Based on what I've just read I intend to just let it alone and see what happens. I will, however, divide it and spread it around. I would definitely keep an eye on all those plants!
