With everything going on I forgot to post the new pic of Wyatt. My son got to go home for the weekend on leave and see him. He is growing like a weed.

Hi all, I need to clarify, Carter & his corporation, Van Corp Media, produced a TV pilot about 2 years ago, starring Dustin, which is still being marketed. Carter is not involved in this movie, but Rick was involved with Carter in the TV pilot. I met Carter and the others from Van Corp Media, spent an entire weekend with them actually, and Carter is so nice. Everyone tells him he should be an actor or model & he says he loves working with his hands and what he's doing on HGTV. Maybe it included games and another controller. They are $149. at our Walmart. I have been thinking about buying one for myself. I had 13 grand kids and could not buy anything as expensive for all of them. Buying one for all visitors makes sense though he should not have told one child it was his. If you buy him one and games will you let him take it home with him? If he takes it and the games home with him or to play at grandpa's house. You will end up loosing them. You need to keep it at your home so he will have something special to do when he is with you. It would be a good idea to let the grandson pick out the games so he won't have the same game everywhere.

I have a 6 year old grandson who lives with me, and summer can be a trying time! I have picked a theme for each week. Example: Paper week: doing origami, researching the pulp and paper industry on the net or betteryet, at the library, making ojects out of paper mache, visiting the local newpaper for a tour, and possibly going to a pulp and paper mill in a nearby town. Music week: playing the piano (he already takes lessons), trying to play the same song on the guitar, making a poster with the clefs, staff, and names of the notes on the lines and spaces; taking in free band concert at our local park, harvesting the garlic whose variety is :music"; packing up some the the garlic and goinhg to visit his music teacher who doesn't teach in the summer. Cooking week: learning about measuring cups and spoons, how to read a recipe, doing a cookie marathon including a gingerbread house, visiting alocal bakery for a tour, doing a make-your-own-pizza night with doungh from the bread machine that he will make, and then everyone can add ther own toppings; we are also doing a "get ready for the fair" week where together we will prepare an entry for just about evey class that he is eleigble for, take our bikes to the fair grounds to register, take our entries in on the appropriate day, and, of course, go to the fair. He will be pretty well ready to go back to school, and I will be pretty well ready to have him go! We DO have a l;ot of fun.

OMG Kristy, he is soooo cute!! I just wanna eat him up! He looks so happy to be with his daddy :) I can't believe how fast they grow...time passes too quickly. O what a sweetie!

Oh that grandson is SOOOOO cute...He looks like he's a fun one!!...What a handsome looking pair you got there...You should be SOOOO proud :)

I'm SO happy you got to spend time with them...My grandgirls are outside of Chicago while my sons in iraq, but thank the Good Lord for Webcam and cell phones...I'd be going MORE crazy...My 1 1/2 yr old calls me maama...Its SO cute to hear her say that on the phone :)

Thanks everyone. I wish they had come here but weren't able to. He got a last minute hop to Baton Rouge and went there to see his son but I was happy to get some new pics and that he got to see him.
