Some times the older leaves will yellow and drop ...No big deal!!!..Being Z8 we are just not that far from GREAT WEATHER!!! I have started to Fert. with 1/2 stregenth and yes epsoms and move them to the shade "weather Permitting" just to aclimate them ..We have rain in the forcast so everything in the garage is going out in hopes of rain..LOL otherwise it will be the hose... ;O) I know they will have to come back in but they are are showing signs of more sun and longer days starting to sprout.. Gosh I can NOT wait to get everything out of the house..

It is funny how plants know that spring is coming, isn't it. Even the houseplants are starting to grow.

oh and Dorothy...just pinch the yellow leaves off if you can not wait till they fall off :-)) Like Kylie says..it is normal. But I thought oh my gosh, she has yellow brugs blooming already ha ha ha

Its not just a leaf or two. I do take off the leaves that turn. Its the whole plant that looks yellowish not green.
They are still in the GH. Will be taking them out today. Weather looks good for the next week. Will fertilize today also.
Yesterday I put espon salt water on them. But only about 2 cups on each pot. (4 gal pots) Was this enough or to much?
Should have gave more info.
But I thought you guys were mind readers. LOL

Ok all the large brugs are out of the GH.
three of them are sitting buds!
I fertilized them with 1/2 strength MG.
They are in a shaded area.
But see spider mites. :( Going to spray them with 3in1 later today.
Will I loose the buds???
Please tell me if I am doing something wrong!

Dorothy I do not think you are doing anything wrong. Give the epson salt a few days to work. Usually it does not take long and the new growth is nice and dark green again.

Maybe the spider mites did it? I did not have any yet so I am really no big help here. Just crossing my fingers for you.

They may have gotten hurt from the spider mites or just some die back from winter? They should be ok if you treat the mites and give them a little pick me up. I really wish I had been paying more attention to the weather and was able to take my brugs out for some rain or at least would have put out tubs to catch it. This morning was the first good rain we have had in a longgggg time. At least the citrus trees got some since I had them outside. Poor brugs missed out. Hope to move them to the greenhouse this weekend so I have room in the garage to start some seeds.

Hey guys I even use epson salt on my lawn.Took some of my tropicals out of the garage yesterday and gave them a good drink from the hose and back in the garage before dark,come on spring the plants are ready even my yellow jasmine is already blooming in the backyard.
