Is my Echevaria too tall?

I'm new to gardening, so I apologize if this is a stupid question.
I bought this echevaria about a year and a half ago, and it's been growing pretty quickly. Now I'm afraid it might be getting to heavy to support itself. It's always grown perfectly straight -- I've been rotating it every week or so to keep it straight because it always wants to lean in the direction of the sun -- but now it looks it might be starting to buckle. Rotating it doesn't seem to help anymore... should I support it with a stick? Or does this mean it's time to chop and propagate? Any advice? Maybe this is normal and I just need to leave it be? It's about 8.5" tall.
Thanks.
