off the top of my head i think all of those should go through the winter just fine, the only one im not familiar with is butterfly flower- do you have the Latin for that? and the specific asters im not sure either- purple dome should be okay.

The Anemone was always sort of borderline in 5 until it was established, so that may be the only one to wait till after jan? but maybe the seeds would be fine, even if the plant needs protection. I'll defer to others opinion.

Asclepias tuberosa is the latin name. This was actually a commercial seed pack & had NO LATIN name but I googled butterfly flower & this is what I came up with. The pics matched up too! So in reality this is milkweed right?

I was going to guess Gaura lindheimeri/wandflower because the flowers look like butterflies. Glad you got a positive ID.

If it's Asclepias, it's milkweed. Butterfly bush is buddleia.

I sowed white asters and asclepias tuberosa last week-along with some others-to take advantage of the waxing moon. Hopefully, the white asters will make it. My blue asters reseed themselves way beyond the call of duty every year! I'm still kind of new to this, but from what I've read on this forum, most of what you've listed should be okay. Jodie..300 containers..Wow! that's a lot; you go girl! Just don't be disappointed if all your perennials don't bloom the first year. Remember the old saying: First year they sleep, Second year they creep and the Third year they leap!
Put aside some in case there's a plant swap in your area. We went to our first last May and it was a lot of fun and a real education. My husband went along and gained a new respect and attitude for wintersowing. He is amazed at the generosity of gardeners with sharing seeds and plantings, even aged manure. The guy that showed up with the pickup truck of aged manure was the hit of the day. He even had the burlap bags to shovel the manure into..you did the shoveling and he stood there and observed. They say he shows up each year. Post it ahead of time on this area forum and people are aware he's coming. No odor though, which surprized us. A local coffee company gets coffee beans in the burlap bags and gives them to him FREE. He came with a full load but went home with an empty truck bed. Later on in the Spring, there will be posting of upcoming swaps. Be prepared to share and have fun!

Of the ones on your list, I WS agastache, astilbe, balloon flower, monarda/bee balm, blackberry lily, baptisia/false indigo, penstemon/beardtongue & buddleia/butterfly bush in December-January last time. Because of the sleep/creep/leap rule I didn't expect them to bloom so it was a surprise when agastache, balloon flower, blackberry lily & buddleia all flowered. They'll have a bigger show in 2011 but they were rugged enough to bloom their first year.
